Newton Man Pleads Guilty To Producing Child Porn

WICHITA, KAN. – A Newton, Kan., man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of producing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.

Lucas S. Buller, 30, Newton pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography. In his plea, he admitted collecting images of child pornography and taking photos of minor children in various states of undress. He admitted taking photos of a minor girl while she slept and her genitals were exposed. He also admitted taking photos of a minor boy whose genitals were exposed.

Buller is set for sentencing July 24. He faces a penalty of not less than 15 years and not more than 30 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. Grissom commended the Newton Police Department and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart for their work on the case
